Yes, anon.
But that works until the ignorant masses understand that the network works with a 50%+1 democratic majority system.
Therefore any hacker would simply require to hammer the network at specific timeframes with lower/lowest hot nodes activity, brake the ledgers and replace them with new doctored ledger data issuing the currently existent coins onto specific address.
Upon connecting both cold and hot wallets, their ledgers would be rescanned and found invalid by the 50%+1 ledger democratic majority, and the capped coins would be safely stored in the doctored ledgers wallets' addresses for a safe sale into fiat.
Aka muh crypto network data can be doctored with an adequate DDOS to make appear your wallets and transactions to have never happened.
1 whopper = 1 whoppercoin
10 whoppercoins = 1 whopper

Not really.
A blockchain is a chronologically ordered database of blocks of data where each block contains the hash of the previous one to make sure older blocks can't be modified.
Other than that, the blocks can contain anything. Keeping track of who has what is a very specific application of a blockchain.
