I cant say oh well i'll start as a pro trader and pay taxes from 1st of september but all that I made in '17 is private and not subjected to cap gains. It sucks right?

I've been looking into making a trading bot for crypto.
Do you think it's possible to write a profitable bot in a couple of months without much prior knowledge of coding? Apart from the trading aspect of course

Also i would just pay the taxes. If you can make good profits like this you will be able to continue doing that for the forseeable future. Maybe it will take you a bit longer to reach lamboland but at least you won't be in prison

Arent taxes deducted from net income?

So if you lose at the end of the year you cant deduct it from your other taxes but its not like they inspect every single trade you make.

At least that's how it is in Europe or does America do something different? Why would they do it that way?
