Dos TA really works on crypto markets? Opinion thread. Want to know what biz thinks about it

No.

No

Neither TA nor FA work. You just buy what you can afford to lose and hope this moon mission actually blows past the milky way in 5 years.

>>3202789
if it were, bcc would be dead by now
>>
kinda
>>
For entrypoints, yes, kinda, otherwise no, not really, because the price of altcoins often highly depends on the current bitcoin price.

Not as well as it does in traditional markets. Too many whales, bots and market manipulation in the crypto space. TA gone wrong cost me 35 ETH last month.

Never trust TA with crypto... it's just not correct often enough to be of much use.

Either the king of fakeouts or TA is shit.

OP, fuck what /biz/ thinks. Fuck what anyone thinks.

Look into price action (candlesticks), volume, momentum, and trading range indicators. Research support/resistance indicators like Fibonacci retracements and pivot points.

See what applies best in the that market and for your trading style. If it doesn't work, then realize you need to stop and reassess your strategy. Use your brain, have a plan of attack, have a plan to get the fuck out of a position if you need to. TA is there to help you be systematic.

Understand what depth charts are showing, and learn how to read the order book. These two things matter more than any other analysis for shitcoins that are easily pumped. TA will work better in less easily manipulated, higher volume markets.

Control your emotions, don't go in too big on anything, even if you've had a winning streak and start to think you're hot shit. That's when you'll lose everything you've gained.

Don't listen to anyone, seriously. Try things out for yourself, and be objective in your views.

While fundamentals are important to any market, I think most people who are solely basing their investment decisions of off "fundamentals" in crypto are just benefiting from the rising tide lifting all boats, as more money flows into the general market. Besides lending rates and growth rates (calculated from mining info and market cap trends), crypto has very little in terms of actual fundamentals. If you understand coding aspects of your coin, then good for you, but does the general market? And that's what matters.

Try everything, OP. Don't be influenced by your emotions, and by others.

This is the only true advice in this thread.

TA works if everyone else thinks that TA works. The truth is that our whale overlords determine what the price will be and both pumps and dumps tend to come out of nowhere, outside of media hype cycles.

But seriously, just be systematic like >>3203316 said and build a ruleset for yourself depending on your availability, budget, and knowledge. You'll find what works for you
