you can also accomplish this with myetherwallet i believe.

You should be fine, just use a wallet software like MyEtherWallet to see them or send them somewhere else. All Ethereum wallets should support ERC20 tokens, but some software (like MetaMask) can't see or use them yet.

so in short:

in metamask, you'll press ADD TOKEN
