My dear OP, it's longer only because it contains empty blocks. Do you not understand the basics? BCH's usp was that it had 8MB blocks, that the miners are "filling" with 1 or 2 kilobytes worth of transactions.

its a combination of almost empty blocks and they are created fast since there a lot of hashing power. Once the difficulty rises again, the speed of the block creation should decrease
