Damn, I worked half a day but I need to see a doctor about an ear infection and I still got penalized for using sick time. Maybe I should live with being deaf in one ear.

Most places with a point system give you plenty as long as you aren't just fucking around with them. Although most don't fuck with people over doctor visits.

do you work for minimum wage or something?

Yeah it looks like the senate recently passed a law allowing companies to do this, pretty gross

claim you were having a discharge and it was urgent. Get a note from your doctor. They can't penalize you for needing urgent care.
Discharges are bodily fluids that will affect co-workers and clients. This will make them look bad as fuck, and is illegal.
This is an easy fix.
In the Uk you can have 3 days off sick at a moments notice without a doctors note.

It's probably just the compnay being dicks, I doubt it's based on congress doing anything. Im sure if you ended up getting fired over points and you could show doctors note, you would be guaranteed unemployment.
WTF is this point system, also shown here: >>>3164481
Are you working in a Bangladeshi textile slave factory or what?
