Kik ecosystem content creators will charge Kin for payment. Content creators are motivated to do so as the reward engine where majority of the coins are locked up distribute the tokens based on how much they contribute to the ecosystem.

On top of this according to their white paper, the remaining 9 trillion tokens that are not sold will be locked up for 3 months so the original 10% will be free floating for a very long time hitting exchanges everywhere. No doubt once distribution begins the Kin tokens will drop in price, but I can see the original amount easily going 5x-10x then settling down 2-3x the ICO price as the prices reach an equilibrium over time as more and more tokens over a very long period of time are released.
