Thinking of making a new coin that's fair to mine with a couple basic features, what are some good ideas to make it unique? I'll pay like .001 btc for ideas I like.
>>
>>3164466
Make your own mining os around it?
142Z2cY5Ktzx3t3WwHTx3iYJtSXTn5S3cC any bit helps. Thank you sir and good luck with your coin!
>>
Korean p&d shitcoin. Oh wait, someone's already done that.
>>
>>3164542
Like a super easy to use mining os. Basically plug and play for the gamer kiddies with nice computers
>>
>>3164568
I like this idea, as it gave me another idea, .001 btc sent :)
>>
>>3164583
Woot! Appreciated! Would actually be my first exchange other than daytrading so I hope I did the address right
>>
>>3164542
>>3164568
Why in the world would someone that couldnt get a miner running be able to install a whole OS?

Its not a bad idea, but really, I dont think most normies understand what a hard drive partition is, or a VM

I am working on a coin now. After seeing the literal shit coming out, my idea has to have some value to it. Litecoin clone and a "Marketplace" but not for buying and selling goods.

It seems that anything that can be hyped will have at least a few pnds - shit SIGT did pretty good despite the drama. Their codebase is also a bitcoin/litecoin clone with their hodge-podge skunkhash-raptorfuck algo (thats what the function is called, raptorfuck ffs) and a shit teir market and "tor nodes" which is a fucking gimmick

So do that op. Honestly at this point in the game your website has more value than your actual crypto tech, at least to a large part of this market
>>
>>3164616
>>3164610
i got you bro, havent sent it out yet. Also, yes it seems hype matters over actual tech, but I do want to create an actual viable technology and make the coin fair to mine. I'm working on marketing right now. My whole idea is just gonna be a coin that people can mine and make some decent cash on.
>>
>>3164616
The more I think about it the more, I think it could just be an easy to use "start MIning/ stop mining" application
>>
>>3164629 I guess my wallet generates multiple addresses, so I guess this: 1DBCVza1qCHHF3MD6xM8z5PE3K71ggSbvq thanks man, my wallet hurts after today
>>
>>3164466
Bulletproof (in terms of whale/pump/dump influence).
Keep it fast as it grows (we need fast as fuck transactions, even if your coin is widely adopted).
Browser-mining (give it as an option).
Oh, and please, make a serious coin with a timeless name (nobody want to buy bread with pepecoins nor kekcoins).

I need the money.

>>
what exchanges could I feasibly get on? Cryptopia seems easy, yobit I am avoiding with a ten foot pole, and bittrex seems to be clogged.
>>
>>3164629

I don't think it matters how easy or hard the coin is to mine - people will only make some decent cash from this if there is a demand to spike the value of the coin.
>>
>>3164646
The exchange with the biggest volume and traffic.
>>
Hyperfast coin, focused on merely doing transactions. Bitcoin is slow and needs 999 confirmations, and takes too long. Sometimes you also just want to move your money fast to do some transactions. So this would be the purpose of it. To be focused on being the money to buy other crypto/real life stuff.

1KDAwB61UBMTrXFrJuLN9ysExWaQ8zoZ1R
>>
Do a lottery coin: Set aside an amount of coins and have a chance of each transaction triggering a payout for the sender. That will help up the volume of transfers which will ensure lots of transfer fees for your miners.

Well you need to think of a problem to solve. Here are two: ownership of data and adblock usage. Data is valuable to advertisers and business but the creators of the data usually don't see any profits. Adblock is starting to make websites less profitable. You could manage and sell your data on a blockchain platform. Advertisers could put their ads on the platform(you could implement a way to have quality control. The token would have gas like neo and this would be used as transaction fees in the dealings between sites and ad makers. Here's the kicker, when the gas gets used, its recycled and distributed to the end user token holding ad-viewers. You won't get rich off it, but I think it is a good enough incentive to stop using adblock. You also should build in an adblocker blocks all ads that AREN'T a part of your approved blockchain. The more people use your system, the less effective all ads outside your system becomes. Basically just think of a blockchain platform ecosystem where users, websites, and advertisers trade data, run ads, and get paid.
>>
Is OP still there?
>>
>>3164809
One potential application for this would be for websites to offer bounties for users that curate ads. It could show you 50 ads and you could select ones your are most likely to click on. If you turn out to be right you get paid a percentage of the /extra/ profit. It would be like a nielson box but for the internet
>>
>>3164809
how would they gather/trade data? I do like this idea but find it a bit confusing.
>>
>>3164466
In terms of mining, you need a miner with user interface simpler than Nicehash miner. Something my mom can run by herself, somethibg that requires no registry edits to start working.

One more important thing is having an intuitive easy to use wallet that normies will understand how to use that syncs blockchain in couple of hours tops.

And to make noise, just make bitcointalk post and pay you friends to start commenting and making noise about it. If it is any decent, it will easily lift off

>>
>>3164809
The ad thing is already becoming reality with Brave and their token.
>>
>>3164881
You could have a browser extension that logs your data into the blockchain. The market for user data would be way easier to manage on a blockchain platform
>>
>>3164466

crypto that makes snap VAT payment to taxoffice for every transaction

i sell this for 1.1 BTC
>>
You could do a socialist coin.

Every miner receives the same amount of return.

It would definitely have a short life span but every small time computer hobby pajeet will want to mine it creating a massive bubble.
>>
>>3164466

You have to mine the coin with your phone.

A decentralized VPN network built into the wallet that uses your bandwidth to serve customers and mine coins or has some effect on your mining share rate in a centralized mining pool.
>>
>>3164466
A coin that you mine by creating energy. So it would work with solar first probably and then move on to wind or hydro.
Every watt you create gives you a certain amount of coins plus you can also sell the power onto the grid so you earn twice. This will add incentive to change to renewable energy. Not sure how the comp Sci would work though.
>>
>>3164911
Oh so that's that BAT is. I feel like it could do more. For example, while its good to have anonymity by default, you should be able to opt in for more focused data collection. And as useful as BAT sounds, it would be blown out of the water by a similar platform with universal machine learning instead of local. And it should also be really easy for small businesses to make narrowly focused ads like google ad services. There's LOTS more you could do with this idea, especially if the whole thing could run machine learning
>>
Btw if I made a coin I would distribute some of the pre-ico tokens to various charities. The more the price goes up, the more money raised for charity! Free advertising
>>
>>3164991
This might work if you are a power company. You can issue tokens as credits for energy, or trade them on the market for current value. The coin has to have some value for it to work I think
>>
>>3164915

thanks

Develop a phone or pc game, which has the goal of accumulating gold. the more gold you have, the easier it is to get more (so people hold their coins instead of dumping them).
you can also use gold to battle other people and win their input
maybe also make the players pay for new resource collectors, or an army (which disappears after battle) so the currency doesn't get too inflationary
1AsFaSWqg5tpt8sCjjNSRjPXNenRPigwnw some help is always appreciated :)
To start a game you need to get (lets say 1 token) of the currency
People already spend tons of money for mobile games, why not make one based on crypto?
>>
>>3165130
Will it be a serious coin? I think WN all over the world could use it as an alternative to CIA coin (US dollar). Will shill.
>>
OP here. Thanks guys for your ideas, I have a lot churning through my brain now. To the guys who I paid, if anything went wrong reply to me with your btc address. Also, look out for me shilling this coin within a month or so. I'm gonna let /biz/raelis get in on it first before the leddit normies.

I've really wanted to see a LLC mining coin.

Lease out the coining via a buy in, the users can thusly use "Business Electric" rates and save 2/3s the price of electricity in operations. That's all the asian market is doing, these fudd'ers on here think Electricity is magically cheaper in asia, it really isnt, you can get 3kw/h in the USA too if you have a LLC business license.

You make a coin with a buy in for cheap electricity? Win

This guy >>3165144 is somehow right. There are tap games like "Attack on Moe" (see here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=game.ignite.aom) that are really addictive, especially if you can strip the girls. Perfect for weaboos with plenity of time.

I am >>3164640 , btw.
>>
>>3165176
I will post a pic of something green. You will probably know it when you see it.
>>3165185
A phone game might be a good idea to help spread awareness of the coin. I'll definitely look into it.
>>
>>3165218
Not just that. Consider how Android games are being monetised right now. I bet that a coin that could be generated by playing, and used in plenity of different games, would be interesting.
>>
>>3165252
if by playing you mean doing a POW algo in the background while playing how could you defend against asic or even gpu miners from flooding the network and making it pointless to 'mine' by playing on a phone

are there any coins that limit a hashrate by IP? that might be enough to make it difficult to set up farms
>>
>>3165279
>>3165252
what about a game that just rewards coins for playing? Like I instamine a small amount of coins when it first starts to create a sort of bank for the game, then dole out coins for playing.
>>
>>3165252

Yeah, look at Android games.

>Get free coin!
>Click all these ads for free coin!
>It doesn't work!
>Install Clash of Clans and level up your castle to get free coin!
>Takes days!
>Nothing happened!
>>
>>3165279
Good question, but I don't know if IP limitations would be enough. Perhaps your wallet should be linked to your Google Play account or something similar.

>>3165300
I don't know, actually. I threw the idea and talked about the possibilities. BTC's are my motivation :D
>>
>>3164466
Make it the in-game currency for a browser game. running the game means you're mining it, but to receive rewards you need to actually click on stuff in-game or the owners get coins after a while.

If you actually like this idea I don't want your btc but would like to chat. let me know.
>>
>>3164993
Well, it's open source. I've had the idea for a while that ads should serve the customer instead of the vendor. There must be lots of people looking for me as a customer, I don't see why it would be so impossible to filter out all the ads that don't further my long-term goals. Unfortunately, my solidity game is weak.
>>
Add me on Skype : CryptoAnna
Make a reference that you are the OP from this thread.
>>
>>3164466
Make a coin that is easy to buy with paypal that has its own app, that is easy to navigate and get into. Also maybe make a browser add-on so you can mine it or that rewards you for eg. allowing adverts on certain websites etc. Also name it like an actual currency that sounds save and not like something you speculate with.
1Q6rrkNdTEE2KXLg2rRLpdEqKYhSEumAYs
>>
>>3165279
>>3165344
It wouldn't.
IPs can be hidden behind any of the millions of proxies out there. You can register more than one google play account or you can just steal the accounts. Government issued IDs can be faked. There's programs out there that generate realistic random fingerprints and you can just collect DNA samples from random homeless people in the street in exchange for a beer.
There is no way to limit hashrate per person, people will always find ways to cheat any "fair to mine" system.
>>
OP here. I was originally thinking of making my coin based off of litecoin, but now I am thinking of making an ETH based token. They have an official tutorial and I think it would be easier to use it as a base for what I want to do. If I make an ETH token, it's considered different than ethereum right? Also, if you create a crypto with waves can you modify the source code?
