It has value because people pay for the coins at a certain price. That's all that really matters in this world, literally. The EUR has it's value because of how much people are willing to buy it for. Gold has it's value because of what people are willing to buy it for. If tomorrow, literally everyone buying gold wanted to buy at half it's price... guess what, gold would go down by half.

I think all these coins are worthless too and never justify their insane market caps for how shitty they are. Doesn't mater what I think if the person next to me is throwing their money at it.

The EUR has government and militaries supporting it
Gold has value as a resource, but I agree it's speculation and has been controlled similar to crypto anyway. I don't trust hold either

I'm not discounting your /intrinsic value/, it's just not at all necessary to understand the basics in why thing have value. I agree with both of your statements.
