Does it even matter if I keep money in BTC? If I'm buying altcoins, it's going back to BTC anyways, so wouldn't that mean the value increases anyways?
For example, say I buy an altcoin at 2000 sat and it stays at 2000 sat. I decide to sell it for no loss or gain (let's ignore transaction fees for a moment). Wouldn't I end up with more in USD anyways because of the increase in BTC value?

i always like to have a nice chunk of tbc in my portfolio, its helps keep my bags afloat, im down 40% on sigt but because of the btc rise my total fiat holdings havent changed
You're assuming that the altcoin won't decrease in value compared to BTC and that is a horrible assumption.

I'm not making any assumptions -- this is hypothetical.
