meanwhile their renovations look like shit and they don't take the recommendations of someone in our family who actually renovates houses for a living and wastes tens of thousands of dollars putting little improvement into it.

We're on a somewhat side road, but cars go through it more frequently than a normal side road, and a bigger house that's on it's own little cul de sac is going for $500K starting and will likely take slightly less than that. Meanwhile they think their getting $600K for their house that's 30 minutes minimum away from job centers in a shitty town that cars drive by more frequently, and the town works have some water checking thing near the front yard, so there's always town trucks there.

Plus they think they're going to live off of that. I'm gonna disappear once I move out, so they ain't got any hope in me.
