"Buy high" is only determined once you sell. Coins aren't stocks in a company with assets, they have no real value to compare price to.

Lines should be dynamic, move it up or down as the conditions change. Don't expect everyone else to have plotted the same line and trade around it.
As a rule of thumb you sell losers at -7% if the downtrend is continuing. For example look at the ripple chart. Although this is crypto so most things can be held to at least come out around 0% if you didn't literally buy the top.
