Hi biz, I got some quick questions about a small business I'd like to start. I do woodworking, mainly scrollsaw projects (pic related) and I want to sell them on etsy and a website I could make, using etsy as sort of advertising/starting point to eventually lead people to my own site. I was wanting to sell shadow boxes, art projects like pic related, and probably some leather bracelets too with wooden accents. I have most of the supplies I need so there is no real investment on my part. I get my wood for free from a cabinet shop scrap bin.
The one in the middle was designed using a pattern found off Google and I was wondering the legality of selling it. I changed some details on it to make it work for scrollsaws, but it is still basically the same. Do I need to worry about copyrights on something like this? If so I'll just learn how to draw better, the smallest project pictured is one I drew but I'm pretty bad at drawing.
Any advice in general would be nice, I'm not expecting to get crypto gains but even selling two three projects a month on the side would be nice.
