No, I'm stating facts. Do I think Segwit2x will fail? Probably less than 5% chance. Does Core want it to fail- obviously yes.

If Segwit2x does fail, there's no viable on-chain solution planned for the main chain. If an agreement explicitly involving ~90%+ hashpower and industry leaders can't go through, what can the community be expected to accomplish?

Where's the FUD?

Accumulation.
If you sell lower than the miners that are producing the coin you are an idiot. New coins cant be sold below 0.15 without loss.

The miners are gathering the old coins, ramping up hashrate so no one can sell below a certain price and then they throw the coins back at you twice as expensive.

I buy 1 BCC at 0.1
You sell 1 BCC at 0.99
Volume = 2 BCC
price decreased

I buy 1 BCC at 0.1
I buy 0.5 BCC at 0.11
Volume = 1.5 BCC, price increased

volume has nothing to do with price. You could have more volume, and higher or lower price, or lower volume, and higher or lower price.
>>
BCC is already a better coin that buttcoin. It's increased block size means users benefit from faster transactions NOW not 3 or 10 months when and IF lightning ever gets implemented.

BCC already won.

Lightning Network, tree chains, side chains, rootstock, so much vaporware promised for Bitcoin while the alt world has produced working software years in advance.

I hope BCC sticks to doing what it does best, being digital cash instead of introducing feature creep which apparently Samson Mow was hinting about on twitter last night.

Bitcoin Core, next 9 months

0.15 SegWit support demanded
0.16 Mandatory upgrade, new tx type non-backwards compatible
0.17 SegWit tx only, legacy tx incompatible
0.18 Mandatory upgrade, legacy tx removed
0.19 Code base stripped, SegWit only, consensus rules changed, closed source software
0.20 Central fee control, central inflation control, LN testing on MainNet, mining becomes permission only
0.21 Closed source only, access requires central AML/KYC account to access network.

Screencap it plebs, BCC FTW
>>

>>
Never
>>
>>3000617
>some unknown gook. Probably China
that unknown gook must know something we don't know. I guess he accumulates a shitload of btc and then drivew the bch price up.
>>
I've read some shitty books about stock price analysis and stuff. They use programs to derive information about stock price behaviour. What they saw was that the price and volatility have something in common. If volatility is low, price goes up and if volatility is high price goes down.

We saw that with bitcoin when the price hovered around 2800 for a few days and then jumped to 3200. Currently volatility of BCC is getting lower and lower and the price goes slowly up, as expected.

I think there will be a spike soon.
>>
>>3001068
The whole market seems to go slowly sideways cus of seg activation. BCC while break out as soon as things go back to normal.

Currently bagholding since i bought close to ath (buy high sell low), so heres hoping for another moon

My opinion is that whales have been manipulating and shorting the market for BCC. Right now they're continuing to accumulate and there is some kind of war going on behind the scenes. I think we're going to see big numbers for Bitcoin Cash over the next few weeks. I canceled my sell orders at ~400 USD in prep for this. Time to start thinking bigger, lads.
>>
>>3001690

The question is will the pump begin before or after Polo releases their customers funds? And how much BCH is in there to begin with?
>>
>>3001760
Considering that all of the previous 'dumps' basically consisted of millionaires sucking up all of the Bitcoin Cash that dumbasses were selling for $200, and this appears to continue to be the case at around $325, I'm not very worried. These people are not in the business of giving away free money. I see BCC hitting $600, 800, 1200 in the future.

What is everyone's Bcash strategy?

I have 25 Bcash, and I am only holding because I don't trust the chinks.

Do you guys see it going to .3?

Betting on chink greed and manipulation might work, but am not sure.

My theory (totally unsubstantiated) -

It's one of the bigger Chinese operations mining it anonymously, with the intention of fully endorsing/switching over if 2x isn't implemented as agreed to.

If difficulty drops significantly, and price holds steady, BCC becomes more profitable. So, in order to sweat the core devs, all the mining groups have to do is mine *just* enough to keep BCC profitable in absolute terms (but not relative to BTC), while keeping the price just below relative profitability.

Any mining group with sufficient hashpower should be able to mine enough blocks on BCC with ~10% of total hashpower, while putting up bots/sell walls in BCC to keep the price low enough to prevent the switch.

If core doesn't implement segwit, it's all over; miners publicize a switch to the BCC chain, and the price of BCC skyrockets, while BTC and the core team are left to rot on the vine, with no hope of recovery since there are no difficulty adjustment rules in place for the BTC chain; then, when the core team has to fork *again* to change the difficulty calculation, the argument is made that BTC is dead, and whatever the core team replaced it with is no longer BTC, but some sort of LTC/BCC hybrid, i.e. no longer an original chain. At that point, BCC becomes the market lead, BTC shrivels on the vine, and whatever the core team forks into becomes a bastard coin somewhere between litecoin and Lisk in terms of large-scale adoption/viability.

It's all a fucking game theory exercise between the miners and the core team, with the miners holding most of the cards.

That's my best guess, anyway.

Sellers poked below the previous low by a touch: prev low 0.0881, new low 0.0879. Buyers are just holding it but you want to see a bounce out of here quickly or it's going to entice sellers.

Support below comes in at ~0.08430, 0.0705. Then it's testing all time lows of ~0.0593 - 0.05769690 (ignoring initial trading as it was not a well represented market). Below that is no mans land we'll have to let the market poke around to find were support and resistance will be established.

Topside buyers need to get above 0.0950 as first target asap.

So if I make a transaction now from my ellectrum wallet for shoes, and I do the split later into BCC, will I have less BCC? Or is it a snap shot lockup of the address before the split--and therefor my BCC the same as BTC before I spent more of my BTC tonight.
>>
>>3004371

You already have your funds on the BCC chain, if you don't access them, they'll still be there until you do.

Basically whatever BTC you had at the time of the fork, you now have the same amount of BCC
>>
seems like the shills are at work to try and make BCC crash

And there it goes. ~0.08430000 now to be tested. BCH/USD price doing similar things while BTC/USD price is going up causing the USD price spread between BCH and BTC to widen. That in turn decreases mining profitability for BCH despite BTC difficulty increase. Not looking good as of now but still SegWit2x drama to come.

>It is currently 41% more profitable to mine on the original chain.
