How many of you guys are prepared for the 2019 global financial crisis?
If the trend holds, we will see a very large depression around the completion of Saudi Arabia's Jedda Tower in 2019-2020.
Skyscrapers are bellwethers for the business cycle. The same market forces, brought about by low interest and inflation, cause both economic booms and over-investment in skyscrapers. By the time a record-breaking skyscraper is completed, the bubble is usually ready to pop at any time.
Given that Jeddah Tower is in Saudi-Arabia, this might first affect oil and the petrodollar.
If this is what kills the dollar, we can expect crypto to skyrocket.
can't wait

Well damn - if that infographic is real, not some pretentious meme.

It's real. A lot of the theory was pioneered by the Austrian School, but even mainstream sources like The Economist have started to take notice.
>>2979168
Well it would make sense.
Also from the timing I expect the financial crisis to start in 2018 but might take people to fully notice in 2019.

That is a massive building holy shit

Fucking crash already then.

I agree 2019 is a pretty conservative estimate.
The original estimate for completion was 2017, so in my own opinion it could happen at any time.
When China starts buying oil from Saudi Arabia using rmb, then you know its starting. The dollars days are numbered, but don't expect crypto to replace it entirely
This is a good read on Real Estate and the Business Cycles.

I've seen you or somebody linking this elsewhere and all I'll say is I believe Georgists put the cart before the horse. In the Austrian theory, low interest and inflation cause land bubbles because
>land investments have a higher rate of return when compared with artificially low interest, so land becomes an artificially desirable investment
>land holds its value better than inflationary currency, so it becomes more desirable, almost like a medium of exchange
So you could almost say Austrian theory subsumes Georgist business cycle theory in this regard.

this. there is literally one guy on biz who gets it.

IMHO it's going to happen this September/November. Even presenters on Bloomberg imply there's a correction coming.
How do you profit from the collapse? Buy seeds?

This. I know a financial shitfest is coming, but I don't know how to profit from it.

One could buy crypto betting on it going to the moon and beyond but gov't usually finds a way to screw the public like when they confiscated gold.
I think crypto will be fucked at ISP level, it's vulnerable.
