are 401ks a meme when you factor in the time value of money? I wagecuck at one of the largest employee-owned companies and they match fifty cents for every dollar you put in up to 3% of your eligible wage.
Is the extra money worth it or should I just put it away into BTC or mutual funds instead?

u would put 3% of ur wage in then . thats 50% gain right off the bat. literally would have to be brain dead not too take full advantage of the free money....

free money I can only take when i retire, andtheres a strong chance by then USD will be worth a fraction of what it is now.

No thanks. I'd rather have access to my money whenever I want and not wait until I'm nearly dead. Plus 401k just usually gives you shitty mutual funds to put your money in. No thanks.
I work for the government and we get a TSP
They match dollar per dollar up to 5%, they have different funds that copy cat different things (100% bonds, s&p 500 etc)
So I'm basically getting free money to invest in the stock market and retire on, hardly a meme.
Crypto isn't a solid investment yet for most people shit is a gamble
