Don't really post here often, but I was really interested in this one topic and I thought this would be a good place to learn more. Why does it cost so much to ship something from Great Britain to America? I wanted to buy some mangas from GB and it cost like $9-$10 to ship it here. Meanwhile I can cheap shit from China shipped for little to no money and I can buy military surplus from Varusteleka in Finland (stuff that is much heavier and bigger than a manga) and have it ship for a $9 flat rate. What is going on? How does all of this work?
