So I transferred my BTC to an electrum wallet on my Mac, and I have my password that I use to access this... however when I tried sending money back to my exchange it asked me for my google authenticator login... which is bullshit since I NEVER set that up.
Now I have my BTC sitting on this wallet and can't get it off.
Wtf should I do? I can't even find my seed which concerns me. I would've thought maybe I could access this through my password but I guess not?

How could one possibly download a fake electrum wallet?
>>2968363
this right here is why crypto cant become mainstream lmao. you have to keep your fucking seed somewhere. just the other day some leddit cuck lost $50,000 in btc because his computer burned up. STORE SEED/PRIVATE KEY SAFELY MA8TE.

I offer a private key backup service.
Just send me your private key and if you lose it hit me up and I will send it to you immediately.

They just need to tether it to something normies cannot lose like multiple ids or some other form of identification (I'd like a crypto that I could backup and encrypt with an image for instance like a photo of my dog)

Download electrum from the website again, use your password to open the wallet file.
CHECK THE HASH OF THE BINARIES YOU DOWNLOADED TO MAKE SURE ITS THE RIGHT SOFTWARE.
you can also use the command line to check
> electrum version
And check that hash too.
If you're super paranoid turn off your internet and do on a new box.
