Why do these ICO tokens always feel so dirty?

There is rumors about a New York Times Article about TokenCard.

Wow a prepaid visa card which you load with tokens instead of btc. How convenient, now you don't have to buy btc and load your card, but you have to buy eth, then the tokens and then you can load your prepaid card which works exactly the same as all the other prepaid visa cards. Genius!

Tokencard was a massive scam ICO. They used the visa logo until just after the ICO was finished, thenr emoved it since they would get sued if visa found out. Pic related is literally everyone working on this project. They just want your money and you are willing to give it to them.

well the idea is that there is no Bank involved. TenX wokrs with Banks together in order to achive low fees. WIth TokenCard you are in charge of your funds as they are in your smart contract. They aim to replace Banks.
