With scalability being an unresolved issue in Bitcoin and all other cryptos that I know of other than IOTA, will the "tangle" technology likely be adopted in the future?
I can't help but wonder what will happen, a change is certainly in place. I hope a more decrentralized coin like Vertcoin adopts something like this soon.
While scalability is the main concern of this OP, I also worry of ASIC miners centralizing bitcoin for the foreseeable future - something that goes directly against bitcoin's core philosophy. Also, anonymity needs to be built in!

no fucking thank you

"Other than IOTA"? Lmao, is that subtle troll? IOTA is an idea, not implemented or even designed yet. Scaling is "fixed" in IOTA only if by declaring it will be fixed means it fixed.
By that logic bitcoin's scaling problem is many, many times more "fixed" because there is not only actual design plans on how to do so, but real development happening right now to execute them.

But iota is not zero fee or infinitely scaling. I can run a bitcoin miner, verify transactions, and then I'd have "zero fees" or I can just pay a fee and not have to verify transactions. iota just requires you to verify transactions to make transactions. Not such much an implemented solution just an idea that hasn't been even proven yet.

PoSign can scale just fine
XBY is the future

>not zero fee or infinitely scaling
it literally is
>I can run a bitcoin miner, verify transactions, and then I'd have "zero fees"
what? you would still pay fees to transfer, and running a node will cost a lot unless you live in free electricity land
>or I can just pay a fee and not have to verify transactions
you act like verifying transactions would require massive computation. the PoW in Iota is similar to hashcash and is hardly even noticeable
OP here with more concerns:
Blockchain size is too big.
Lack of anonymity.
Centralization around ASIC miners
how are these being fixed?
