Can I buy Bitcoin Cash directly with fiat and trade in some exchange with it or do I need to buy Bitcoin first?
You buy altcoins using Bitcoin.

You can do either, but transferring fiat is a lot harder than BTC

It's very simple, OP.
You get yourself a BCC wallet, find yourself a seeller here on /biz/ and agree to pay them via paypal or some other form of fiat payment and receive your Bitcoin Cash.
The only issue is trust. I could sell you some BCC for example, but I am anon - (You) must find someone you trust to make the transaction without rippiiing you off.
I have 0.03 BCC I'm willing to depart with for $100 USD. It may be overpriced, but thats my offer :-)

Wrong.
OP, use a legitimate exchange. Buy some Bitcoins, and exchange it for altcoins WITH some future.
Pro tip: Bcash doesn't have a future.

I have no bitcoins, true. But I'm not speculating with Bitcoin's Cash price, I'm wondering if I can start day trading with BCH directly without buying any BTC.
