Can I just not do anything and claim them a couple of months down the road? Or do they expire or something?
I really dont wanna go through all this bullshit right now for a couple of measly Bitcoin Cash which probably are worthless anyway.
Your hardware wallets website should have instructions
You own the private keys, you're golden.
Just wait for official support.

This. You took your BTC off exchange before today, right?

Yeah most of it was always on my hardware wallet.
I had like 0.5 leftover that I just transferred today before the fork.
It seems like a hassle to claim them so I wont do aynthing for the moment. I guess/hope I can just claim them whenver I feel like it and they wont expire or sth.

But the coin itself may only be worth a tenth of what it is now. Or may moon 10x, who fucking knows.

It's not going to expire.
Your coins are stored on the same addresses on both chains. Ownership is therefore determined by the same private keys. Just do nothing if you don't want to.

so uh, one more question
apparently my Bitcoin Cash are worth over $1000 now.
so I get free money for doing nothing?
hory shit I love the chinks now
how is it possible they make money out of thin air? and why dont they do this more often?
is this comparable to a stock split somehow?
