I currently have a balance on one card. I have zero balance on another card, and I am thinking of opening up a third card to see if I can get a higher credit line.
Tell me if there's anything wrong with this train of thought:
>Divide my balance on my first card by three, and transfer the balances evenly amongst the three cards.
>Make simultaneous payments on all three cards, two of which would have no interest.
>Build credit score
Would this work or would they see what I'm trying to do?
General credit building thread too if desired.
Credit score cares about total % utilization of debt, so if getting another card increases your total credit, and isn't costing you anything, then its good for you credit. Same with raising you limits.
But credit score is also overrated as fuck. As long as you have 700+ its all about your income. If you pay your bills on time for a couple years with low utilization you will easily be over 700. Having really high credit score is pointless unless you a debt cuck that wants like 3% interest car loans because you can barely afford your luxury car payments.
