If you're poor, an easier almost risk free investment is to do checking account bonuses. Look at DoctorofCredit and r/churning. They're pretty easy once you get the hang of them.

I'm a poor fag too but I did a bunch of those for the last 6-7 months and built up $3500~ and now I'm playing the stock market to grow it more.

When are Iron Condors worth it, like... ever? Only time it ever works is on really low volatility stocks like KO or huge spreads, where you get jackshit premium for high risk (i.e. $100-200 for $5000+ risk).

I realize this is a robinhood thread where most people don't trade options, but the rest of this board is full of shitcoin memers. I don't know where else to go when talking about real securities and derivatives.

If you're serious about active trading then just buying an selling stock is really vanilla.

If you want to take your trading to the next level and actually do what the professionals do then you need to learn how to use derivatives like options and futures to allow you to hedge your positions, reduce your directional exposure and reduce your cost basis.

Imagine that all the time you're holding that stock you were selling call options against it and continuously reducing your cost basis. If you do this long enough, and even if the stock stays the same or even goes down in value you would eventually own that stock for free. Every week or month just continuously chipping away at the cost basis.

Or you can just sit there bag holding, potentially for years, and that's provided the whole stock market doesn't have some massive correction like 2008 and wipe out a decade of growth in a few months.

Robinhood is a nice thing to try out to have a little play around, but you need to step up to another level and learn much more about the space. Anything else is a disservice to yourself.

If I had to choose one Aerospace/Defense company to invest in, it would be LMT. Most of these billions added to defense are allocated for missile defense systems which is basically monopolized by LMT. LMT also has the best dividen growth--increasing 10%/year. However, BA has really shocked me in how much it has grown this year! I'm too afraid to buy in beceause it is at an ATH. However, it could be a better pick than LMT because of the commercial/civilian services.
