OK Phaggots, some of you are in trouble...
Work at a bank (won't say which one). Soon, we will be "forced" to hand over records of customers who have sent "large" amounts of cash to exchanges.
The idea is to go after people who they "suspect" are making huge gainz on crypto, then hit you with a tax bill. Apparently, they are going to estimate what they think you've made/owe, then hit you with a bill. Obviously, they will suspect higher amounts, then they will state in order to lower the amount, you need to turn over your full records.
As of yet, we don't know when it will happen, or what the amounts will be. I'm only a "smaller fish" but I suspect this is already happening anyway.
Sorry but that isn't how it works. A+ for effort though.
The banks have taken over the IRS!

>using bank accounts to buy/cash out bitcoins
LMAO, that's plain retarded, any bank can already freeze your account and/or report to the tax authorities ON A WHIM.
If those customers with "large transactions" don't report their shit, they've been playing with fire all this time and could have been reported at any point in the past. Literally nothing new here.

There's literally no way to cash out in the US other than putting it into a bank account, just so you know.

check this out and see if there is one in your state, you might have to take road trip....
You can also go on some p2p sites and take a percentage loss on large sums of bitcoins. There are guys that will stuff your mailbox full of tens of thousands of dollars a week if you have the coin.
