when it's shilled on 4chan, it's usually already way too late. Twitter is probably a little bit better to get a feel for what is hot and upcoming currently.
The best gains can be had if you take your time and actually DYOR. Means: comb through btctalk ANNs yourself, pick out promising/new/reactivated shitcoins, join their slack channels and watch past volume for accumlation. Learn how to use the block explorer. Its a huge time comitment but it pays off.
