Look into each coin, read their whitepapers, look into the team, and ask yourself if their goals seem viable. Personally I'm in STRAT over NEO (thought I did ride the initial moon mission on it for big gains) because I can't seem to find anything that tells me why NEO will be better than ETH, STRAT or any of the other smart contract platforms, and pretty much the only response from people here is 'because China'
