This thing could be diving way harder right now. I've been looking for spots to open a short on eth/btc and it's not happening. As long as BTC recovers at some point it seems that ETH will go with it.

ETH is literal non-future proof, it has proven time and time again. Many, smaller "ETHS" such as ANS will eventually replace ETH.
