litecoin is literally bitcoin chinacoin jr. with ASIC and chinese calling the shots. It's only valuable because coblee works at coinbase and pumps it on twitter.
vertcoin has the decentralization aspect of mining figured out and stuck with core's code. They have their own roadmap to upgrades and it's looking good.
I hold 95% bitcoin and 5% vertcoin but I'm really excited about this small coin
