Will we break ATH today?
Recent high was 2920
Ath high was around 2950
>>
looks like buying enthusiasm is drying up and whales are playing chicken. I think that it's about to dump to 2500-2600 range before we make the next leg up and finally break 3k.

Put your mouth where your money is,
and post your trades, /biz/.
>>
how far will it bounce back if it doesn't break 2900?
>>
>>2847808
Why is 2900 USD special in any way?
It's not like USD matters much in crypto

It broke 2900 on polo vs usdt
Now there is profit taking and we might try again
>>
>>2847691
This whole rise is manufactured. Whales trying to dump at a higher price. Sell now to catch the dip when it crashes. This will dump hard if it fails any target.

its a psychological price resistance.

>>2847821
we see it dropping now, if it breaks the trend it will go down alot, but I expect the trend to continue
>>
>>2847784
Been in this game 3 years, I use altcoins to make BTC and never buy with fiat.
>>
>>2847826
$3k is psychological resistance, I really don't think it applies to hundreds anymore.

>>2847844
well call it whatever you like, its also damn close to previous high 2920 and ath 2950 so people tend to take profits near those milestones as we see happening right now.
>>
just one more little 10x would solve all my problems
>>
>>2847826
>its a psychological price resistance.
For whom?
USD is almost irrelevant for Bitcoin.
>>
>>2847844
>>2847911
the question is what happens once we break 3000$ ? It will happen sooner or later and assuming that hundreds are not a psychological block anymore what is gonna happen then surge to 3.5k ?

Newfags that have been ignoring crypto for years and only now realize it'll keep growing.
>>
>>2847919
it's not though, we all here use USD as the objective measurement for how much BTC is valued so ofc it's relevant.
>>
>>2847931
>>2847930
>>2847924
The "psychological barrier" is only in your head.
Most Bitcoin traders do not care about USD.
>>
More recent figures.
>>
>>2847935
I trade in Euro yet I still use USD to measure how well it's doing since most people discuss the USD value when talking about BTC on the internet.
>>
>>2847947
Sure you can use it to measure, I do too,
but projecting significance on round BTC/USD numbers is nonsense
>>
>>2847947
>most people discuss the USD value when talking about BTC on the internet.
*most people on the English speaking part of the Internet
>>
>>2847944
TFW You just realized bitcoin is controlled by chinese government
>>
>>2847944
What do you mean by this exactly?

Also that number has later been disproven, its was still around 80% at that time though.

So they trade most of the bitcoin volume, would this be a reason for you not to participate?
>>
>>2847977
I'm saying that supposed psychological barriers like $2900 or $3000 are unfounded projections without any effect on the price,
when 80% of the traders do not use USD.
>>
>>2847924
I think once we spend a couple of months over $3k we will see a spike as FOMO kicks in and people start to think maybe $3k is the cheapest it's going to be from now on.

>>2847935
I don't care about USD price as I haven't made any fiat / crypto trades in a long time. The thing is people like me have no effect on it's USD price because we aren't trading on that market.
Those that are trading BTC / fiat on a regular basis care about the USD price and those are the people dealing with a psychological barrier.
It's the same reason many products are sold just shy of a round number eg. $1.95 or $19,980, it's human psychology that makes it seem like a better deal.
>inb4 anon on /biz/ knows better than every marketer on earth
>>
>>2848007
The next barrier in CNY is 20,000, which equates to about $2956 (if anyone is interested).
>>
>>2848017
>2 barriers this close together
It's going to be a bitch to break threw but once we do FOMO should kick in.
>>
>>2848007
>BTC hits $3000 USD
>USD traders start buying up heavily
>Chinks notice this "random" demand/price increase and start selling rapidly, buy back in cheap later
