Ok after a couple of weeks of this you should be able to relax a bit more when you think, start figuring out what you like and whether you have the skills and qualifications you need to do it.

While you are trying to get the qualifications, actively seek out people in the profession you are interested in to help you with a personal development plan - what you need to learn to get the job you want.

Enlisting because you are a fucking depressed unmotivated kid is about the most pathetic cop out of a decision you might ever make in your life.

If you seriously can't bring yourself to get an entry level position in a field you want to climb in, and get some education, then by all means go fucking shit around in sand for the next 5 years.

But if you can handle being a big boy and putting in some work then fucking learn something. Teach yourself to code, to handle electric circuitry, to work on cars.
Fuck you can do anything if youre on free soil and not wearing camo toting a gun around unable to access the materials you need to actually advance yourself.

unless you already have a specialty before joining the military and you are going in for an apprenticeship, you are better off 10 times out of 10 just fucking going to school instead of wasting years of your life just to come back and still have to go to school.
