I'm not talking about long term, I'm talking about what's going on right now is exactly what happened before. In 2008 the housing market blew up, that doesn't mean houses are useless and worthless. The issue here is value to an investor, value to the common market, and value to some regular guy who doesn't know anything but what other people tell him. Right now we're in a bubble, just like 2013, and it's crashing again, the difference is the floor is much higher now than before so it's unlikely to go to sub $500 again, that doesn't mean people aren't losing a shitload of money because they're idiots. Just because you won money doesn't mean anything, in every boom and crash there are winners and losers, smart people make money but so do lucky people, luck has a lot more to do with it in an emerging market like this one than skill, especially with 500 shitcoins on the market.

One problem is many are treating crypto like real stocks, holding long, buying the dip etc, when the reality is that it's a totally unregulated market. You see, the real market is bound by a fuckload of laws and regulations, coupled with the threat of lawsuits and jailtime for bad actors and actions, so in general, the stock markets are stable to the point where buying and holding isn't going to make people lose everything, sans a 2008 event which is very rare. Crypto is more like an emerging market, every stock is brand new, there's no known history behind them so no way to know their trajectory, there's also no way to know who will end up on top, so it's more like betting on a horserace with every horse never running before. Using a different example, I bought some stocks in solar companies, to me that's risky as hell, but I didn't throw down $100k like the meme goes, I put in about $15, which is a safe bet for me. Really, unless you have no issues losing money, don't bet what you can't afford to lose.

To answer your question, it's crashing because people are pulling their money out, and I can't say for certain that bad actors aren't a big factor, the whole bullshit with whales and bots are distorting the market, and though that exists in the regular stock market, with crypto, it's a different ball game.
