So how do I start shorting and which coin should I short?
I have a question: Let's say that I have $500 in my account. Is it better to open a $1000 position using $200 and 5:1 leverage or open the same position ($1000) using my entire balance ($500) and 2:1 leverage? I thought that less leverage was safer but it looks like I'm wrong.

We've seen consistently now ETH rises to 220 and then drops 20-30 dollars. Thats all you should be looking to short rn.

Leverage=borrowing (money). Borrow more and it will cost you more. Pretty simple.
