Depends on what you want to do. Python is pretty big for internal tools, Google and Facebook are hiring a ton of devops roles that require Python.

Tbh it doesn't really matter that much as long as you have a good base. My primary language was C when I graduated and the company that hired me specifically wanted me to do Python and MySQL db stuff, which I hadn't done before. I'm still at the same company and have done shit in a bunch of other languages at this point.

Knowing about various open source projects and how they are useful helps a lot on your resume. Thinks like docker, rancher, flask. Also know git.
