Have any of you done this? I just applied. It seems like a whatever job but I like the idea of working nights and not having to personally deal with customers. Pros and cons?
>>
fun if you are young and in good health,

sucks Ass if you are old or have any kind of health issues
>>
>>2761496

Not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Decent pay for what you do, benefits, paid time off, 4 days on 3 days off, but the best thing if you're a guy......

Fine ass pussy everywhere. People literally fuck in the parking lot during break. Girls walk around in yoga pants/work out pants or shorts where you can literally see everything.

>>
>>2761530
you'll quickly develop health problems due to stress and the degradation of your body. be sure to hit the gym often to keep your body stable
>>
>>2761570
>>2761565

Im in baby. Wheres the application?
>>
>>2761630
It's ten years old by the way. Weed.
>>
>>2761630
Depends on the nature of the charge, a bunch of variables. Time, schedule drug, possession vs distribution. If its a posession charge youll likely be alright depending on your resume and overall attitude. If its a distro charge there's no chance. High hours and low retentions rates for our employee. Keep that in mind

Thanks, man.

I've read they have crazy quotas on how many boxes you pack per hour or something. and the high achievers get their numbers by just throwing shit in the box aimlessly and doing a piss poor job, but get praised by the managers for beating the goals every day.

Soul crushing as fuck, worked there for 2 years. You will walk like 12 miles a day. I lost a bunch of weight, only positive. Your back and knees get fucked. Also hot as fuck. Very isolating.
>>
>>2762362
Well shit. What if you're in decent shape? 12 miles is nothing to me.
>>
What are the hours for a typical night shift? 11pm - 7am?
>>
>>2761496
Can BTC ever go back to 1 sat? I have 0.5 BTC and donĀ“t want to lose it all :(
>>
>>2761592
is
>>2761565
true?
>>
>>2762388
7pm-5:30am, they only do 10hr shifts and factor in lunch.

It can change by a half hour either way depending on inbound/outbound
>>
>>2761496
Are you a MN fag? Because the MN distribution center is 60% sand nigger somalis.
>>
>>2762362

you dont get a little cart or something? fuck that shit, I used to do order picking but we drove around on pallet movers. honestly wouldn't even be that bad of a job if they just hired twice as many people and kept the shifts to about 6 hours. which imo is entirely reasonable considering the nature of the work
>>

I've worked a wide variety of jobs in the past 13 years, everything from washing dishes for minimum wage to my current decent salary doing tech related stuff.

The one constant across every job I've had, is that every business reflects the personality of the person at the top, for better or worse.

Every shitty job I've had has been shitty because the person/people in charge had no empathy for the people below them, working their asses off. Every good job I've had has been good because the people in charge made employees feel valued and appreciated.

All of this is a way to say, Jeff Bezos is a brilliant businessman. Hard to argue that.

But he is a complete sociopath. He literally has no sense of empathy or connection to human beings. So, I'm pretty sure the quickest way to be miserable at your job is to work for Amazon in any capacity. So, please don't.
>>
>>2762442
Ya you push a little cart that holds 2 totes and walk around a giant fucking maze of aisles until you fill the totes then drop it on the conveyor line, rinse and repeat for 10hrs.
>>
>>2762456
working in amazon for a month now, and you took the words from my mouth. When you start to work there you realize quickly why amazon is so successful, there is literally no interaction between workers and management, they try to keep emotional part of employer-worker minimum to zero. You get orders from AI, you work as fast as you can, you fuck up 3 times hard you're out and the system replaces you.

But yeah FUCKING HOT MODELS EVERYWHERE WITH HUGE FUCKING ASSES JESUS CHRIST WHY ARE THEY WORKING HERE
>>
>>2761565
Fucking quitting my nice paying job for this. Sign me up
>>
>>2761496
From what I've read, it's hell. The turnover rate is so high that they just interview and hire people without ever seeing their face. You don't even need job experience or references. I've applied for the Amazon warehouse job once and was hired. For the last step, all I had to do was to go to the office for a weight lifting test, but I turned down the job and accepted a job offer at a factory instead. Regardless, it's a stepping stone for better jobs. Employers generally don't want to hire people without any work experience.

This is what went on at the order picking job I had (not amazon). I would follow all the safety rules and work at a brisk pace i felt I would not injure myself at and could only get around 80% of the quota most nights, the blokes who didn't give a fuck and drove the wrong way down 1 way aisles and occasionally smashed entire pallets because they went too fast around corners were considered the 'ace" workers
