I always figured that with margin like 100 or 200x, I could take something like $10 and basically gamble it when a coin seems to be going up for a minute or so. If it goes up a lot, like 10%, which isn't impossible in crypto, then I could make up to like $2000. If it goes down, I've only lost $10.

Like betting on the 1 minute candle. Really just gambling but with fair odds that I could make a thousand or lose just 10.

I shorted ETH at 233 and it bounced to 243. Took 7 hours for it to go back down below 233 and I broke even. Stressful times. Never margin trade at work.
