Does it take Ivy-League to get into Investment Banking ?

For the really top firms, an Ivy League on your CV is the bare minimum, with honors mind you.

But most firms nowadays rely on connections to get in. It's mainly well connected WASPs, Jews or Chinese with coal baron parents who get in.

WASPs is a hit or miss, you get ones that can deliver results, Jews usually connect with others Jews to cover up their mistakes, Chinese usually fuck up and get sent back to China where their credentials are good enough to get them VP position before the age of 35 (they still suck, but they have armies of subordinates that do the job so the responsibility is diluted).
