God I would fucking love for something like DCR to take out BTC as the be all end all crypto. This potential for hard forks because nobody can agree is fucking shit and just makes an already volatile currency even more volatile, and pulls down the market with it

Yeah, that vote was a couple weeks ago. PoS algorithm is being implemented in ~32 hours, LN integration should be ready in 2-3 months.

Yeah it's safe. It's a "good" hard fork in that 100% of the nodes will automatically switch to the new code. That's what's so cool about the project IMO. We voted on a change, it passed, and it's getting implemented quickly. Compare to the bullshit going on with BTC right now.
