I think it's junk to be honest. Tier 3 coin, might be something in a couple years but totally crap idea in the meantime. Needs massive adoption to be viable as anything but another shitcoin controlled by mega whales.

Once the sell walls go down that are at 2100 then you'll probably get a decent moon. But long term its iffy. I like the idea of a decentralized messaging service but I'm not sure that it has enough interest right now. They at least have a working alpha and they should really make a hard sell of the anti-facebook stalking your every move meme.
I came out even on my quick dip into Status but I left a few hundred coins in just in case as a long term play.

Massive sell wall at 2100 sats. Right now its sitting at 1900. Grab a thousand or two and set a sell order for 2095 before the big sell off begins then repeat when the sell wall tanks it.

Tapped out asian market, it will never catch on there. Only hope is USA and Europe but FB and Snapchat are king there. SNT will never be mainstream, it wont even be half of what KiK will be.

Heres how ICOs go: Everyone gets their shitcoin, its deployed on the market. Holders sell, driving price down. More holders see value evaporating, start selling, repeat ad nauseum.

Its in everyone's interest to keep the price up but each holder has a selfish urge to make the most he can because in reality these shitcoins can really go all the way to absolute zero
