LinkedIn is up, waiting on minor revisions from the rest of the marketing team + waiting for the core members to prepare their personal LinkedIns to be added to the BitBay company page. I think the market will respond well to our team going "public".

What is the purpose of the BAY token?

Can't I just use btc or any other alt for that matter? Or is BAY required to use the market place.

BAY is necessary to put up a deposit in the double-deposit escrow system. What makes the BAY cryptocurrency stand out is the rolling peg, slated to be implemented roughly Q4 2017 - this rolling peg will allow for a more consumer-friendly shopping experience as it will reduce the volatility of the BAY currency. The price still moves up and down, the freezing and unfreezing only impedes the price from fluctuating - it does not prevent it. Also, price will probably be pretty high before the peg.

I agree. That's wy it's important to get this marketing infrastructure all set up.

Things we've done this week (somewhat minor but figured i'd fill you guys in):
- Contacted coinmarketcap.com to change our twitter page (directs to @bitbaytalk and not @bitbayofficial)
- Created a LinkedIn for BitBay and beginning to get our team members who don't mind going public on there
- Contacted Uquid regarding getting BAY on their altcoin debit cards
- some SEO work and analytics to help design the website revamp

Naturally i'm just marketing side so I can't give you the whole picture, plus some things i'm not allowed to talk about. But just so you know we're doing stuff, there it is for what it's worth!
