Between oil and tech, yeah. Those were the two of three sectors that have driven the S&P500 up so much after Trump was elected. The third being banks, which got stronger after this last Fed bank thing. Whatever it was, I don't invest in banks. Tech is getting beat up, hard to say how badly and how long, though. Silicon Valley is great at generating positive news for themselves.

But man, commodities have been dirt-cheap for the longest now and they keep going lower. They're priced like China sealed it's borders from import or someshit.

Libya and Nigeria are pumping like crazy, but Libya at least has problems, their biggest oilfield is shutdown over a worker's strike right now, which had zero impact on prices, btw.

They mainly trade in the 'brent oil' side of the world, while the US is flooding the WTI side. Why some desperate Permian basin type oilmen lobby hard to allow crude oil exports, so they can close that little price difference against the basket used on the other side of the world.

Anyways, for sure there is no oil shortage, but no lack of demand either, oil should probably be around 52$+ since nothing has fundamentally changed other than shale guys drilled more capacity. Notice not pumping more, just drilling so they could if they wanted to.

These bags are just getting heavy, I didn't know the oil market was THIS stupid/ manipulated. Rest of my portfolio is in one-trick-pony biotechs lined up and waiting to be actioned off to the highest bidder, like most of us here, which is probably the sector I should have stuck to. Ah well.

My stop loss hit on USLV got out with small profit. I set a whole bunch of limit buys in mining stocks/etfs that never hit except for a small order in GSS at .62. Minutes didn't end up meaning anything for volatility for me. I expect a slow climb back up until sept.

Gonna grab up some FRED if it dips again and watching APRN closely for reversal.

Seems to be a little bit of concern from a small amount of members on whether inflation data warrants further rate hikes. Some also think that if they (the Fed) are going to sell of some of the bonds they're holding then maybe they shouldn't increase rates too much.

US dollar index should've continued with its spiking, but it seems this slight unsureness between members, about rate hike impact, is causing the the dollar index to drop a little.

Since the dollar is dropping, precious metals are slightly unshitting the bed, but I'd say to wait until TA indicators show some increased upward trending before buying in.

Interest rates need to come up, because right now the bond market is absolutely worthless all the money is in equities, it's going to be a horrible crash once bonds start to look attractive again, or the dollar depreciates so commodities are attractive.

Had a pretty good day; I managed to clear up all of the losses from Thursday->Monday. I'm one of the dullards who bought AMD after it sat at $14 for a bit. That hopefully will clear up this week and I'll break even or maybe turn a profit. $AVEO held through the holiday weekend shenanigans and is even trending upward a bit. They still need approval from the EC so that will cause a moonshot when it's announced. If you want in on that I'd probably get in now while it's low. This is maybe 50 days out so keep it in mind. $NOK is mentally fucking with me. I bought this back for their dividend and I misread the ATH while on the shitter and bought it at 6.60. If I can find it near 20ish in the red I can wash the losses with the dividend payment and put the money onto something of value. I'm losing money because of lost opportunity. Though I see that $NOK is releasing a bunch of phones in the coming month so I may hold longer. Fuck this is a irritating situation.

Bought back in SPEX at 2.60 today. Let's hope this meme rocket keeps paying off for me
