Me radiographer, girlfriend executive assistant.
Combined wage about £65k
Average one bed flat in London 500k-600k in central. House with two beds 600k 40 minutes out. Currently leaking money due to high rent.
Want to buy a house here. Unless we move into a shithole we are screwed.
What do? I already got coins but nowhere near lamboland level.

dude your situation is so fucked that this could literally be a meme for bad financial moves

Emigrate to the US.

Ill be honest, we live comfortably. And rent in a good area, would just nice to have a place of our own. Saving for a deposit will take fucking years, and we would not be able to get a mortgage. Sort of stuck.

You'd be leaking out another 100 quid a week in transportation 40 mins out too right?
Sounds like you need a housing crash or more money
>>2708475
Easy, you move into a shithole.

Choices are get a travel card for 2.4k a year all for all zones or drive which with petrol I have no idea what the total cost will be. I don't think house prices in London will ever crash, they only got up but the increase slows.

The problem here, is that even if you move to a shithole, you may only get an extra £150 a month, which i know adds up, but some of the poorer areas have terrible crime rates and poor transport links.
Moving outside London would mean a 20% cut in wages, that's just a rough estimate.
