Been hodling since 2013. I saw the value in the technology and the use for it in the future, and banked on it increasing in value due to these prospects. I didn't speculate on how much the value would increase over time, but I've been pleased with the results. I think the Bitcoin train is still getting started and has a lot of room to grow, so I wouldn't be surprised if it reached $5k or even $10k this year. Bitcoin has unironically made me a millionaire, so my optimism is probably bias

Buy a coin you belive in. Do some investigation. My choice is 4chan coin, ANS has still big potential. Maidsafecoin can be big over some time.

But yes, of course it can. I've seen serious people talking about the moment BTC gets to $10,000 like it's almost a sure thing. This is just the beginning. BTC will probably be the first crypto to break the trillion line in market cap and those are normal numbers in global economy.

Of course anything can happen and it can go back to $600 or even less in a month, but as time passes, people are more confident about BTC being here to stay for many many years.

Is it worth it? Of course. Is it a good way to keep your profits more or less safe? Most likely, but not 100% sure. Is it a good way to make lots of money? It's still possible, but now it's harder. Think about it this way. Is it easier for ANS to hit $100 than for BTC to hit $25,000? Actually, nobody knows. Both examples are a 10x increase in value and it sure looks like ANS will be near $100 before BTC does more than 2x-3x, but BTC's been here forever and the changes for Aug 1st are only going to make it stronger. ANS is still untested and in development. It looks great, but it could find big problems and go back to square one in a few days, just like ETH could too.

So... TL;DR: Yes, it's possible for BTC to double, triple, go 10x or even be worth $250,000 a coin in a few years, but that also means this is a highly unstable market so...

Apart from what I said before, I'll just add what everyone says in these threads:

When BTC started, nobody thought it could ever be worth anything.

Then it started having a proper value and people started trading.

That value went up, but people could not believe a made up virtual coin could ever be on the same level as a real coin, like the dollar, let alone be worth more than a dollar.

BTC went up and up again... surpassed the dollar several times, but come on... this is just a bubble. How can it be worth ten times more than the dollar?

And it went on and on and on... $20, $40, $60... $100. Ok, this is just madness. It's going to crash hard very soon.

But no... it went higher and higher. $200, $600...!!

And now it's around $2,500. And people are still saying this is just a bubble and it can't go much higher. It would be absurd.

After all these years, there's one thing I'm pretty sure about: NEVER underestimate BTC. If you don't have some in your portfolio at all times, you'll regret it.
