What exchanges are best for bitcoin, altcoin, litecoin ethereum etc for an ausfag?
I'm looking to put about $100AU into 4 currencies each and it will probs be the ones listed above.

i was using coinspot but it seemed like it wasn't popular enough and you also don't get the full range of coins
just moved to bittrex and got a bit raped by fees for sending all my coins over but yeah seems better
im a total noob btw

i like that coinspot is trying to break into the industry as an aus company but their fees are too high to trade on. bittrex works well. buy the bitcoin from btcmarkets and withdraw it to bittrex for trading / hodling

I buy bitcoins from btcmarkets or coinjar. Best exchange is bittrex.

Auslad here. i bought bitcoin on cointree.com.au then sent it all to bittrex and bought coins from there. I did get a little bit fucked by a 10% fee from cointree

use coinspot to buy btc, trade to bittrex for any altcoin of your choice
you can buy most of the popular altcoins on coinspot from memory

Typically you will get cheaper prices on BTC Markets because it is an actual trading market. Coinspot is not. Sometimes coinspot may be cheaper but if that is the case then the price on BTC Markets is just inflated and you are better off waiting.

Account creation and verification on IR takes considerably less time than other Australian exchanges, prices are slightly inflated but won't matter because you'll probably end up using the site to withdraw cash too. I bought eth and btc on IR then transferred to Poloniex to trade and buy alts, then transferred to Bittrex for the coins I wanted to buy that weren't on Polo
