Lets say i have free electricity. Can i make any money mining bitcoin? How?
You could, but you'd need a huge set up. You're better off mining alts.

By mining in a pool, the only cost to mining bitcoin is electricity.
Gains will be slow if you don't have serious hardware though.

remember you are spending money in general and cannot mine big coins at all. if you mine alts you have to be super speculative and be sure about its future and will not see returns for a long time.
its better to just spend your money on investing to alteast a full coin on a dip because:
1. you will see at least a percent of a return within the hour or day or week rather than what you will be able to mine in prospects.
2. its easier to accumilate a growing coin just by buying it and speculating its growth over a short period of time rather than spending on graphics cards with depreciating value.
tldr: only get into mining if you are on the inside and have information most dont.
what you can do is check out alt coins that do have some backing and maybe mine them but get ready to short that shit into an exchange as quickly as possible.
