Hi guys,
I was looking into using ethereum for adding hundreds of vectors which contain thousands of values. After exposure to the add function's cost (3) and the fact we are adding numbers (mostly zeroes) hundreds of thousands of times, useage of the EVM is not feasible.
Why is there no schedule of useage costs on a log scale, why is it linear? seems like an obvious problem to me

Welcome to ETH.
Make sure not to worry about PoS and Sharding as well. Those are easy problems to solve and implement! :)

hopefully the developers change the scaling of costs, I would really like to use ethereum!

Try looking into UBIQ. Built off of ETH and has lower costs

Use rlc for that. The evm is for code that needs to be as immutable as possible(contracts).
whats preventing me from running the dapp on the test network instead of the live network in order to avoid gas fees? no actual coins are transferred?

GOLEM is over there friend >>

what the fuck? golem is based on ethereum, meaning it has gas prices as well. how would it make them lower?
