I saw a commercial for some retail broker the other day. It was some guy driving some convertible through a forest road, he's got two girls with him, and he's talking about "taking his shot" to get rich.
90% of retail traders lose 90% of their investment in 90 days. They need the new money to come flooding in so they can lose it, because otherwise the brokerage can't function.
I'm wondering if a casino is a worse business than a brokerage because you have to have a certain edge and pay out a certain level of the money you get back randomly to people, where in a broker you just take money all day.
