blockchain isn't good for storage, it's good for security & scaling out jobs... not only anonymizing users but anonymizing TASKS... which in a traditional system could be easil comprimized by script kiddies, but blockchain security allows distributed computing to scale like a mother fucker.

These projects use blockchains to secure storage contracts, not the actual data being stored. Storj is dumb not because its an extra-inefficient use of blockchain tech, but because host payments are dependent upon storj itself as a middleman.
