we need a market that allows you to trade altcoins with fiat currency, so we can finally cut bitcoin loose and let it crash like it deserves to. bitcoin paved the road but it has run its course. it is nothing but a redundant middle man.

I agree with this

samesies.
Then I hope you have $25k in savings OP, because that's how much it costs to daytrade with FIAT.

thats like saying gold is not the standard for paper money. since 1970 paper money has not been backed by gold. and its gone down the shitter ever since

I'd prefer for bitcoin to stay healthy

This is what we need. I've been thinking on it all week.
If exchanges listed pairs for alts to USD. Then BTC would go down the shitter.

it's not that I hate bitcoin, it's that all online currencies being financially tied to the hip of bitcoin is a massive hurdle that is going to keep crypto-currencies from properly flourishing.
a $3000 coin crashing and bringing every other coin down with it is not healthy. Imagine if when the USD was doing poorly, almost every US-backed currency in the world dropped with it. crypto can't create a niche for itself in the current system.
