I have been holding ETH awhile and hadn't tried to actually use it for anything until the Status ICO. It's such a clusterfuck to actually use I sold everything I won't be buying back in.

Why hold ETH? The reason I hold BTC is because I can trade in-and-out of alts, so I multiply my BTC and capture the slow BTC gains too.

But you can't trade ETH against shit, it's got about 7 pairs on Poloniex. So you get the slow gains of holding a huge-cap coin without the extra from trading.
